Open Systems at Design Tour’s “Dolce Vita” Evening

The Open Systems team took part in “Dolce Vita”, an evening organised by Design Tour. The event brought together people working in interior design — designers, architects and brands from the industry — and made room for lively conversation about materials, space and contemporary interiors.

On stage: the door as part of the interior

During the evening Open Systems presented its work. The screen showed images from our interior projects — doors set flush with the wall, timber-clad surfaces and solutions that follow the overall lines of the space.

Those images sum up how Open Systems approaches doors: not as a separate object, but as a continuation of the wall and of the whole interior. Doors like these are planned at the earliest stage of a project and complete the designer’s idea instead of interrupting it.

Meeting designers and architects

After the formal part, the evening carried on outdoors with informal conversation. Meeting colleagues, designers and partners, and talking about new projects and ways to work together, was the most valuable part of the event for us.
